Guy Fawkes Edition

Wait, another entry so soon after the previous one? What is this, a return to regular updates?

Eh, that's unlikely, to be honest... but you never know.

Anyhow I wanted to advise you, dear reader, of some recently available updates that might be your cup of tea!

First off, Draphy has produced the first installment of Artemis Continuum (or maybe "the" Artemis Continuum? I'm never sure about articles in the title.) It's great! If you like old-school Star Trek, only with liberal dollops of mind control and lesbian smut, you definitely need to check it out. A lot more to cogitate on in this one than is usually the case in our genre, so bring your thinking cap.

Secondly, Anaximanes has released the double-plus-alpha version of Slugs and Bugs: Conversion, a resource-management game where the resource you manage are the stable of women you, the alien OverMaster, have collected to convert into your drones and collaborators. Lots of squicky aliens and parasites and slime, etc etc, all directly up the center of my alley. You can download it from his TFGames Site page. I have played the available content (one character, three levels of corruption, seven different treatments to subject her to) and thoroughly enjoyed it.

A third thing to be aware of is that in the very near future Uzobono will be releasing the Epilogue to CORE #15. I have had the pleasure of chipping in some final text edits and IMO it is super hot! But then, I am heavily partial to PX001, the Praedari drone once known as Tammy, so seeing her in action hits all the right buttons. Keep an eye out for it on Uzo's deviantart page in the next few days. It's a single scene, not a new issue, but then our single scenes are easily the length of other mind control comics' entire issues!

Lastly I wanted to point out a yummy story over on Hentai-Foundry: The Incubator by AncientCipher. It's a lot like my own Adaptation - I mean, a lot, to the point where either AncientCipher has slain me and eaten my brain to gain my power, or very deliberately set out to capture the parts of Adaptation that make it yummy - but is also clearly its own story; the mind control (though present and delicious) is a lot more subtle, and the wasps lay their eggs a lot lower down than they do in my story. Anyway if you like giant alien wasps laying eggs in women (note: the eggs will birth "normally" so it's not a gore story. Killing the host always seemed terribly wasteful to me as well.) then give it a gander. As I have said before, I write what I enjoy, so when someone else writes something similar to my stuff I'm all in favor.

2020 Spooky Edition

Well! It's clearly past time I should post something new here. It's been months, and obviously there's lots to cover.

First off of course is CORE #15. It was a long, arduous time coming and I and all of you are super indebted to Uzobono for the tremendous amount of superb work that went into it.

After CORE #14 we both agreed that our issues were too long - they took too much work to produce and it took too long between issues. And of course then we wind up putting out our longest issue yet. The best laid plans of mice and men...

Gosh, what else. I'm super-thirsty for a new video game and am eagerly awaiting Cyberpunk 2077. I want to play Baldur's Gate 3 quite badly but I understand that the full game is not due for another year or more, and I worry that if I try out the early access version I will tire of it before the whole experience is available. So I've held off on that one.

If I troll back through the summer's porn folders, let's see what gems I socked away...

There was a gratifying uptick in Facehugger porn. KleinVoimond is a favorite of mine and if you scroll back through their twitter feed there are a couple of gems. Here's one from October and another from September. 

The Usual Suspects have also not been idle. Callidus is in the process of releasing a hot new story over on the EMCSA, and has a couple fun new pieces on his own website. I particularly enjoyed 'Breadcrumbs'. 

Dollmistress is always worth keeping up with on her DeviantArt page.

If you enjoy sci-fi themed sex although without mind control (I know, right? But some people seem to like it) you can hardly go wrong with Sindy Anna Jones, who puts out a couple of comics on a regular basis - lots of reading / porn if you haven't seen them before.

Oh, and I Roved Out is updating again! The plot is baffling and makes my eyes cross, but the dialogue is witty and the art is so lovely I could eat it with a spoon. One of the few kickstarters I have been part of was to print the second book, which duly arrived and made me quite happy.

Oh also, if you enjoy *snap* "Yes Master" mind control, someone commissioned an artist with the moniker of Eccentrix to produce a short comic (29 pages) of a fellow taking control of and then having his way with some girls. It's not in my sweet spot (the mind control is over in a blink and obviously I prefer f/f to m/f) but there's something in it that strikes right at the core of the fetish. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on whether you enjoy paging through unrelated naughty material, to read the story as far as I can tell you have to just step through his HentaiFoundry gallery, where the various pages of "The Master" are in a few different groups amongst other works.

As for me, well... there's CORE, obviously, but other than that I'm just not finding the space in my current COVID-19 life to do much smut writing. The ideas are there, but generally when I have time and privacy it's late in the day and I am tired enough that I consume smut rather than producing it. Hopefully this will change!

As a postscript, someone wrote to me a while back asking about a story which I had put out, uh, somewhere, years ago, and it turns out that (unsurprisingly) it was only the first part of a story but I did still have it. And since they were nice enough to ask, I have put 'Induction' part one up here into the Secret Files.

Little Silver Eggs

In fact, I'm busy writing CORE #15, as always in collaboration with the magnificent Uzobono. So look for that in, uh, mid summer?

I'm still getting good erotic mileage out of my Stardew Valley headcanon, the one with Abigail being seduced/programmed into becoming a Joja female appliance and accepting brain implants which basically turn her into a robot.

The original idea I formulated is here: Joja! and expanded upon with the brain implant design later on here: Apply Directly.

Since one of the purposes of this blog is to capture ideas for hypothetical later use, here's the third installment.

Here's a quick character reference, if you haven't played Stardew Valley.

As Abigail is transitioning to a female appliance, the story also is transitioning from her lived experience to that of the farm owner. As Abigail's brainwashing and dedication to Joja deepens, one of the key tasks that Joja sets her on is the brainwashing of the farmer (let's call her "Playa"). Thus, by the time Abigail returns from Zuzu City with her first brain implant, Playa is already erotically programmed to desire her own conversion into a Joja drone - to be specific a Joja farming asset.

The brain implants, as mentioned, are both internal and external - little egg-shaped devices of which half are visible on the outside of the head (and the other half, internal to the skull and radiating control wires across the brain). Aethernaut did a fantastic illustration of the concept:

 The first brain implant gives Joja more-or-less total control over their new asset. In theory a resistant subject could fight the brain implant's control - and lose - but of course at this point the asset has been deeply brainwashed and wants nothing other than to be the best Joja drone she can be. As the step up from brainwashing, the implant does allow Joja commands to be fed directly into the asset's mind, although the asset's brain still needs to process the instructions and take action (so not puppeteering). And the implant continues the brainwashing process; external hypnotic sounds and visuals continue to be applied (eagerly, by the asset herself) but are now accompanied and coordinated by the implant as it reads the brain and applies direct bio-feedback as appropriate.

A third task of the first implant is to record the asset's personality. This is because that personality will be erased by the implantation of the second implant, which is installed on the opposite side of the asset's skull. Thus, when Abigail returns from the Joja surgical facility the second time (an appointment that just thinking about made her almost climax, so intense was her desire to become a better slave), she's really not 'Abigail' any more. The second implant contains the slave personality that is now threaded throughout Abigail's brain, and integrated with the first implant. 'Abigail' - or rather, Joja female appliance #17,562 - is now essentially a robot, receiving commands and obeying them without really wanting anything, other than to obey.

Playa has been hypnotically primed for this and finds it intensely erotic, and when she fucks the very receptive female appliance (after all, that's one of a female appliance's core functions) she's almost more aroused by 'Abigail's' robotic demeanor than she is by her naked body. Playa herself at this point is becoming extremely receptive to the idea of getting her own brain implant.

Once the second implant is satisfied that any remaining traces of 'Abigail' have been dissolved, female appliance 17,562 returns for the third brain implant. As mentioned, it's a socket, a half-egg shaped depression in the center of her forehead. It's a receptacle for a personality module, of which female appliance 17,562 has returned with three, silver orbs in a small velvet box. One of them is labeled 'Abigail'. Inserting that module results in twenty seconds of fluttering eyelashes as female appliance 17,562 reboots; and then smiles. It is now perfectly able to simulate the mannerisms of 'Abigail', and has access to Abigail's memories via its link to the Joja databases. Of course, female appliance 17,562 has no desires other than to serve Joja and is merely pretending to be Abigail.

In fact, the 'Abigail' personality can and is applied to female appliances throughout the Joja economy, just as female appliance 17,562 can instead socket one of the other personalities - it has returned with one labeled 'Latisha', an identity once belonging to a different female appliance.

Then there is the third personality, labeled only with a red stripe around the silver orb. After several days using the female appliance both with and without the 'Abigail' personality, female appliance 17,562 instructs Playa to insert the third orb. She obeys. The third personality is entirely artificial, and has one mission: to complete Playa's transformation into a Joja farming asset.

Helpless to resist her artificial Mistress' dominance, Playa submits to ever-deeper brainwashing, including the injection of drugs which both increase her strength (coupled with intense, Mistress-controlled workouts) and her bust size until Playa begins lactating. Not only will she serve Joja by working on the farm, she will produce milk with her own body for their use. Her days begin now strapped into a milking (and brainwashing) machine.

At this point we introduce Leah. A friendly neighbor, Abigail laid the stage for her intake into Joja slavery earlier, and now the Mistress Module instructs Playa to intensify the secret and then overt brainwashing of the red-headed artist. Playa eagerly complies. By the time Playa reports to the Joja surgical facility for her own brain implant, Leah is eagerly masturbating as she imagines one of her own.

Once Playa returns with the implant, the Mistress Module is no longer required and is returned to the box. Joja can control Playa's brain directly, and does so. Playa of course is now an eager farming asset, strong in body and productive with her pendulous breasts. She has sold her entire farm to Joja in return for a lifetime lease on the property, with the legal stipulations that Playa must work the property at Joja's direction, planting what they direct her to and selling the produce to Joja at whatever price Joja specifies. Playa herself is legally bound to the property and may neither leave nor alter the contract - not that she will ever wish to. She is a Joja farming asset, just like the farm itself, and her only desire is to produce for Joja.

Leah of course is an artist. As she hangs out with Playa and female appliance 17,562, who by now rarely has a personality module installed, and obeys Joja commands and Playa's commands equally robotically, Leah wonders what sort of Joja asset she will become. Can Joja make use of her artistic talents, once she is their property? Every day she edges closer to making that erotic and permanent leap.

In the event, the answer is "no". Leah returns with her brain implant and announces that she is to become livestock. Playa smiles and begins Leah's course of brainwashing and drugs and exercise, turning her into a milk-producing farm laborer much like Playa herself. Only where Playa is a Joja farm asset, receiving commands directly from her brain implant, Leah is livestock. She will work and give milk but will provide no input of her own.

When 'Leah' returns with her second implant, Joja Livestock Asset #4,901 mindlessly gets to work on the farm.

So! As you can see, I continue to evolve and get mileage out of this scenario. One challenge is that I almost certainly should not write it as erotic fan-fic, meaning that I should change all the names. Unfortunately I love the name 'Joja' - I've repeated it so much as part of the fantasy that it will be hard to break. What do?

Porn in the time of Corona

So! Uh... second quarter! Not dead, just slow.

Obviously lotsa stuff has happened in the three months since my last post - and by "stuff" here I am referring to "Tabico's preferred genres of porn". But what finally got me off my duff and posting again is... Resident Evil, specifically Resident Evil 3. Even more specifically, Resident Evil 3 porn.

Now, I've not played the game but I am familiar with the franchise (from porn), and apparently Resident Evil 3 was released recently and the graphics are pretty in-fucking-credible. And also apparently the game has a pretty good modding community and amongst those modders are my kind of perverts.

So in the unmodded game there are various horrible crawly beasties that can prey upon your female protagonist. Some of that "preying upon" involves hoisting her up, shoving a tentacle down her throat, and squirting parasite larvae into her. Other beasties are head-swallowing things that latch onto a person and turn them into a shambling zombie.

If you are here, you know the effect this sort of thing has on my libido.

But what really turns this from "oooh, hot parasite action in main stream media" into "schlick schlick schlick schlick" are the mods. Specifically, mods which replace the normal clothes of your protagonist with a sweat-slick nude body wearing only a bondage harness. And with pierced nipples.

Tabenings - Burglar Edition

So this post is a good spot for any CORE feedback you'd like to leave, although of course you can also leave feedback over there, I'm only checking it every fifteen seconds or so.

After posting here I'm gonna go answer some email. It was my habit for a really long time to answer every email I received, and I only fell off of that habit this year. I've gotten a number (like, ten) really nice emails this summer and haven't answered any of them. This of course is a self-reinforcing problem, because then I feel bad about not replying and so I don't go look at my email. But let's see if we can't get to some now.

Also, lots of hot ideas in response to my previous post. (Not a surprise of course given that some of my favorite fellow authors are represented there!) Some of them would work quite well in combination, too. I appreciate everyone's feedback and certainly enjoyed the mental imagery conjured.

Although may of my in-brain sex fantasies are still revolving around my Joja scenario, I would also like to get back to "Modding", it's like half done already. The trick is I need to write some vignettes and have been having trouble with them. If I can do it I'll try and leverage the Secret Files here and maybe hammer out one a week until I have the four or so that I need. Let's see if I can re-stack my life a bit to get at least two hours of smut writing time a week.

The Craftswoman

I had an interesting story thought recently.

In a lot of mind control stories, women who are brainwashed into becoming highly sexualized often get boob jobs. My particular ne plus ultra is the Mind Control Comics story Bearing Gifts, in particular issue #14 (which is #9 in the Found Objects storyline), in which the protagonist actually magic-brainwashes an actual cosmetic surgeon so that he will have an "on staff" person to give his ever-growing harem all the boob jobs he wants. But it's also in their titles Audiophilia and others, although in Bearing Rubies it's nano-magic-technology rather than silicone.

I recognize that Mind Control Comics are paywalled, I have had a subscription there off and on over the years. Apologies for referencing them and not sharing.

Anyhow, we take the cosmetic surgeon protagonist - female, of course - but we put her in the vicinity of a Wicked Mind Controller and turn on a slow burn. Let's say she works in the Valley (the San Fernando valley, a part of Los Angeles known for being home to a large amount of pornography production companies and their staff) so she does boob jobs and butt implants and lip implants etc etc and has no qualms about doing them.

First she notices that the most recent Pretty Young Things who've come in to have work done have the same address - an apartment complex, say. And they seem a bit spacey and use the exact same phrases. Then things get a little weirder - maybe a reference to "Mistress" (or "Master" if you prefer, frankly if we keep the W.M.C. offscreen it doesn't really matter their gender so pick what pleases you) and perhaps they bring in the same "this is what I want done" photos and so on.

Of course, in a Tabico story, all of this is simultaneously making the protagonist nervous and extremely horny. Should she be worried? Why are these young sex-drones-in-the-making all coming to her? Will the W.M.C. ultimately come to brainwash her (and does she secretly want that?)

Soon enough the W.M.C. would engage in overt communication. "I appreciate your work", "Here's a nice bonus", "Such artistry", etc.

And then things could get more dubious - maybe one of the drones comes in and requests to have something implanted. Won't say what it is. Iris dying. Tattoos with special ink. (Kind of shading into my Joja story, here).

So that's the idea. I haven't really settled on a conclusion - what do you think? How would one satisfactorily wrap that up? Simply having the protagonist ultimately get collected would be appropriate and desirable but would totally lack punch. I think a second plotline is necessary, something to weave in that could rise up at the end for a good solid climax.

Oh, yes, I appear to be back. I won't make promises but hopefully this will be regular again. (There are many many blog pages boldly proclaiming "I am back!" which are the last update ever seen, so I shan't tempt fate). Lots of stuff has come out during the summer and I aim to point out a bunch of it. Also, Uzobono and I are almost finished with CORE #14, we should see a release before Halloween, God willing and the creek don't rise.

Anyhow, although I have been a squishy bundle of uselessness and non-porn production, there is nonetheless exciting news!

1. Uzobono released Black Helix, the latest Karo City mind control comic. It's excellent! As a disclaimer, it is about dickgirls rather than regular girls, so those of you who have come to love Uzo's lesbian mind control content, be advised that there are dicks galore in this issue. If you like futa, holy shit are you ever in luck. Regardless of dick preference, the mind control is super hot, and as usual crackingly well written and beautifully illustrated. So check it out.

2. Half Shim has a blog! Why did no one tell me this? Heck, it started back in January, almost exactly a week after... my... last... post...

Clearly, Half Shim is stealing my motivation! It's not that I am a squishy bundle of uselessness - Shimmy turned me into a squishy bundle of uselessness! Much like a newt!

Well, regardless, you should definitely check out Half Shim's marvelous blog. And I, for my part, will endeavor to update this blog once again on a regular basis, as I attempt to combat this motivation-sucking hex before it grows into anything more serious!

Tabenings - End of Year Edition

Well! I didn't want the year to end without a final 2018 blog post, so here it is!

Let's see... it's been a while and a bunch of stuff has happened. Not least of which, Uzobono and I released CORE #13: Outreach. If you somehow were unaware of that, go get it!

I am of course a delicate snowflake, so as you have witnessed I slunk right back into my shell after producing it. Reaction was largely positive but not 100% carrying me through the streets on the fans' shoulders, so as is my wont I threw down my quill and stormed off. Okay, not really. Anyhow, if you are here reading this you will probably like it so have at.

In much more recent news, tumblr rid itself of all porn. This is a severe blow to me because Tumblr was one of the half-dozen pillars of my porn consuming habits, and I have yet to figure out how to once again find the naughty artists on my regular update-check circuit. Many of them have migrated to Twitter, so I have gone over there, but the interface is more awkward and it will take some time to get used to.

Hmm, gosh, what else. I purchased and played through Thronebreaker, a card-based video game set in the Witcher universe. I enjoyed it, but not enough for a second playthrough. Other than that it has been mostly World of Warcraft, although for the upcoming holidays I purchased Factorio on a friend's recommendation so we'll see how that suits me.

Back to smut. Other than the tumblr-pocalypse I'm not recalling any big events or releases, at least in my subgenres. Of course, it's been... yikes, two months, so there's probably stuff I am forgetting. Lemme see what's in my collection from that period...

• GreenT posted an absolutely magnificent animation of a buxom terminatrix in a clear plastic uniform over on his DeviantArt page. 
• I know nothing, absolutely nothing, about HomeStuck. I tried, once, but it was just baffling and the characters and stories seemed totally unrelated to each other so I gave up. However, I really love the areolae on the renders that BreedingDuties produces. He had a tumblr up until this week, but now can be found at Newgrounds and Pixiv.

• Speaking of Pixiv, I was over there nosing around and whilst searching using the 'goblin' tag, I found some really excellent goblin - heroine mind control. The artist is Iryda, you will want to check out the combat set first, and the naughty mind control set second.

 But gosh, a lot of what I snaffled the last two months was from tumbr. Le sigh.

Tabenings - Bowsette Edition

What?

Well, fuck September anyway. That was not a great September and, frankly, October is turning out to be mostly about recovering from September so it's pretty crappy so far as well.

However, I do have good news! I am even now (well, I was a moment ago until I stopped to write this blog post) editing the final script of CORE #13. And, in parallel, Uzobono is rendering the very last scene! So it's just lacking the necessary postwork - i.e. putting the images together as pages, adding some special effects, and doing the word balloons - and CORE #13 will be in your sweaty digital hands! Yay!

So in other news a fair amount of fun fetishy stuff has happened. I am totally going to miss a bunch of things, but here are some of them:

1. Dollmistress came out with a bunch more images; a set called 'Last to Awaken' and now one called 'The Thirteen Stages of Processing'.

2. Callidus released a spiffy new animation called 'Fun Room'.

3. Anaximanes had a few releases; 'Factions' was made available to his Patreons but more importantly for us non-renumerative sorts Cereborg chapter three was made available.

4. Dreampaintloon began releasing a bunch of spiffy fetishy drawings for October.

And a bunch more! But you know what, I'll save that for next week. May help with this whole 'resuming blogging' thing.

Another thing that happened was that a sexy new meme was born and exploded - EXPLODED - all over the Internet. I am referring to, of course, Bowsette. (Note: Link goes to Wikipedia page.

So here's the story behind this cutie. A fellow with the handle of Ayyk92, artistically talented but not of any particular fame, posted the following cartoon on Wednesday, September 19th:

Now, if you are as old as I am, you might not know what's going on there. Basically, in the Super Mario series of games, the big turtle fellow is Bowser - he's Mario's antagonist - and he repeatedly kidnaps Princess Peach (in white in the first panel) forcing Mario to trek through hazardous video game level after video game level to rescue her.

Earlier in the month, Nintendo had revealed that for the 'Deluxe' re-release of 'New Super Mario Bros. U' one of the other characters, Toad, had a version called Toadette who got a special power-up, in the form of the pink crown there in panel 3. The power-up would turn Toadette into Peachette, basically a character that looks like Princess Peach but with some of Toad's features.

So you can see what's happening in the cartoon. Peach spurns both Mario and Bowser, Bowser dons the pink crown and turns into Bowsette, and everyone goes on happy dates.

Well, this struck the Internet with the force of a hot, gothy, spiked-collar-wearing atom bomb. Before the weekend was over I personally had collected over forty Bowsette images from really good artists, quite a lot of them deliciously pornographic. Amateur and professional artists jumped in, many of them Japanese, many of them of actual published manga both smutty and non.

Right now, less than a month later, a search on 'Bowsette' on the Rule34 website (because we're all here for the porn, let's face it. You can also search for 'Bowsette' on google and get a shitload of hits if you are somewhere where nipples are frowned upon.) brings up more than 750 images. Less than a month later. And that's just some of the porn.

Also, you'll be interested to know that Bowsette appears in two common models - the blonde, Princess Peach like model as seen above, and a dark-skinned, red-headed model (otherwise the same) for those who think it makes more sense (and/or is hotter) to use Bowser's original coloration. And/or they just like redheads. Which is the camp I fall into.

Shameful, that's what it is. Shameful. Right, I don't generally like to commit to stuff but I shall focus like a laser (a green laser) and have a Tabenings every Tuesday for the rest of August. That's the goal. So let it be written, so let it be done!

So I haven't been utterly idle on a Tabico front - CORE #13 is moving forward, I'm basically 50% done with the writing (working on scene 10 of 19) and Uzobono has been snapping at my heels with the renders. I think seeing it in August is optimistic, but September is well within the bounds of reason.

In other smut news... hrm. Mostly I've been trolling the usual places for naughty pictures. I'm sure there's some that stood out but they're not springing to mind. Kivik updated 'Due Process' which is quite a nice mind control game. Although I have to say, I am deeply, deeply disappointed that they chose not to pursue the 'player character is a slave' route, since I find that by far the hottest. Instead if you are enslaved you get relegated to just another bad end, rather then embarking on your new career as slave-maker on your owner's behalf. Only by becoming the Mistress can one proceed.

I really need to just start making my own games if I am to be completely, utterly catered to even a little bit at all.

There's a rotation of various smut artists whose tumblrs I drop in upon on a regular, not to say nightly basis. One I don't think I have yet mentioned is idelacio, who has a very particular visual style which I quite enjoy, and applies it to various naughtiness involving a stable of copyrighted characters, e.g. Teen Titans, Mowgli, Supergirl, Ben 10, Penny from Inspector Gadget, etc etc. Rather a lot of it does involve femboys, which I am disinterested in, but there's also a bunch of naughty girls. In the last few days he posted a naughty Hermoine character whom I find RRRRrrrrr. A deatheater tattoo on her mons? Sign me up!

In non-smut news I had a very nice vacation with my spawn, and am now making myself ready for Battle for Azeroth, the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion by figuring out how all the controls work again. Which cooldown is that on? What spells do I have now?

Tabenings - DDR Edition

Hallo again!

I took my spawn to see 'The Incredibles 2' and I have to say, Holy Mind Control, Batman! Wowzers! Of course, none of the mind control was played for sexiness but on the other hand, Mrs. Incredible herself provided a whooole bunch of that. Mmm-mmm.

Anyway I liked it. Also enjoying all of the Rule 34 material which is coming out. A wonderful example thereof is a recent piece by 'John Doe', who was already tops on my list of smut artists. Man, does his stuff ever ring my particular bells. So here's his Elasti-Mom piece (at least, the non-smut part of it, for the full naughtiness you'll need to visit the link:

If you haven't seen his stuff he also has some scrumptious body-control / kinda-mind-control stuff called 'The Bird Cage' (it's on that pixiv link) where some Batman related heroines get covered in latexesque outfits and used as puppets. Tabenings - Joon Edition

May! I haven't posted since May!

Well, I'm not dead. On the contrary! I have started CORE #13 with Uzobono - the first scene is written and it's being rendered and I need to get the next scenes out post-haste. The overall plot is also done, that's the first thing that we do. If you've enjoyed the sub-plots about Erin and Yuen and Karo City University, then this issue should be up your alley! Not so much parasites this time - or any, really - but plenty of mind control.

I'm also back to working on 'Modding'; it's such a great concept and I shouldn't let the "what come next at this exact point" issue I'd gotten hung up on stop me - so I haven't. Progress is being made! Not nearly as fast as I'd like, but then I have a life and that life makes demands.

As far as other relevant content goes, if you haven't been paying attention to Dollmistress' DeviantArt page, you should be, as she's spinning quite a wild tale over there.

In other media I'm watching the latest season of Archer, which is good but thus far not superlative. My favorite bit was the line  - and for this to work you have to know that this season is set in 1938 - where Pam says "Yeah, it's a real Catch-22," to which Archer replies "...I don't think that's a thing yet." Ah, the fun we have with the 4th wall!

Tabenings - The Brink Edition

Thaaaaat close to giving up blogging - but not today!

So! Writing productivity is not nearly what it should be, but you might be glad to know that I've fleshed out the plot of CORE #13 (lucky #13) and should be getting the first scenes written shortly. Also turned my attention back to 'Modding' and made some progress there.

Let's see, what else. Callidus has put out some fun new episodes of 'The Black Room'. Just this week Dollmistress has embarked on a new comic release, apparently inspired by Infinity War, with the usual bubbling mixture of fetish and humor. 'Humour' I should probably say.

I know I'm missing some things. In mainstream media I greatly enjoyed Deadpool 2. Their interpretation of Domino really tickled my fancy, and I think Zazie Beetz hit the character just right. Also, I figured 'Zazie Beetz' was totally a made-up stage name until I looked her up and discovered that her father is German, so 'Beetz' is her completely legit last name.

Since then I've been binging on German-language interviews with her on YouTube. I may have a bit of a crush.

Not doing much vidya at the moment; dabbling in some World of Warcraft, mostly, which you can rightly curse for some of my lack of smut productivity. I keep meaning to try out Far Cry 5 but haven't gotten around to it.

Ah, Tuesday aga-

Shit!

Well, I'll either fight my way back to Tuesday, or drop off entirely, we'll see. Wasn't a great week for me productivity-wise. It could have been - my spawn was staying with friends so I had all sorts of time this weekend. For a brief, shining moment, I saw my way clear to resuming work on 'Modding' and making real, tangible progress.

But then some stuff hit me and my self-confidence just cratered. Why bother, you know? So I didn't do that.

I did manage to get back on the horse enough this week to give the first, oh, half of CORE #12 the final, final, post-postwork edit. I.e. Uzobono has put the pages together and added the words and the special effects, and I'm just kibitzing for clarity and making small tweaks here and there. I think in 60 or so pages I had 5 comments? Something like that. Uzo is making noises about a release next week; seems feasible to me. So that's good.

Not a lot else to report; I've been enjoying Black Pharaoh's 'Forsaken Souls' smut comic. I do enjoy demonic corruption, although the parasite thingy got less screen time than I would have liked and reading a page a week is sometimes frustrating. Still, good evil fun.

Tabenings - 2018 Edition

Hm, I can't believe I never thought of that before. It actually scans.

Anyhow, it's, uh, Wednesday, so here's the Tabenings! To be honest it's actually still my intention to post each week on Tuesday, but yesterday I was doing final edits on CORE #12 and was on kind of a roll so that's what I did instead.

As long as I'm being honest, also the last two weeks sans posting weren't Google's fault, either. Although they could have been, fuckers. The holidays came with a triple helping of family issues, and I just wasn't mentally anywhere from which I wanted to post.

But I'm back in my own house and it's 2018, so back on track!

As I hinted at above, CORE #12 is breathing down your neck. Uzobono has finished all the renders and is doing the postwork and page stitching-together, and I am doing the final text edit. (After Uzo renders each panel, I review and revise the dialogue and sound effects, etc, to get the best match with the actual image.) Having it this month is extremely likely!

I've actually been ruminating on our delivery model. As you know by now, CORE issues are huge, well over a hundred pages. Compare this to similar offerings from Metrobay Comics or Mind Control Comix, which are ten to fifteen pages. I'm not denigrating them, mind you, they release more stuff and I like it, I'm just idly wondering if that model might actually be better. I mean, as I am reviewing CORE #12, I observe that many of the individual scenes are narratively complete and really hot - all one needs for a good shlick session - and frankly releasing fifteen scenes at once seems like it may be cheapening the experience as the reader races through them rather than savoring.

Hrm, I think I will posit that as one of the CORE Questionnaire questions this time. Shorter, more frequent issues? Or the phone books we currently deliver?

Also I want to ask which of the 1A - 4D mind control matrix types people prefer, but to understand that question you will have to read the issue.

Alright, time for some smut. Although the holidays sucked in many ways (and were nice in other ways, it wasn't all vicious drama) a girl does have needs and so I did round up some tasty new (well, new to me at any rate) genre porn.

I received a nice email from kivik (https://kivikmc.tumblr.com/) saying how much they liked my fiction and regretting that I had not updated my blog in over a year. To the latter part I could only say "bu-wha?" but I also said "Hey, neat, kivik is back!" And since I hadn't checked kivik's blog in, oh, about a year, I went on over there to have a look, and lo and behold they've been on a bit of an update tear recently. Huzzah!

Then, wanting more, I used one of my favorite tricks. I found one of the images which I had not seen earlier (above) and which was also super hot and I opened that post's "Notes" to see who had "liked" it. Then, since those people obviously had good taste, I went to their tumblr pages to see what else they might have liked.

This led to some old friends, like Haywaine (https://haywaine.tumblr.com/) and Hayushiba (https://hayushiba7.tumblr.com/), which I was glad to see. Always nice to know that people from back in the day are still around. Haywaine, by the way, has a colossal collection of full frontal nudity of lovely young ladies - check out his tumblr and hit the "Archive" link and you will see what I mean!

But, marvelously, I also discovered some new (to me) porn that I really liked! (To be honest, I forget the exact paths I took through the various tumblrs.) Tabenings - Spin Edition

Hello again! I did mention that Wednesday was the new Tuesday, right?

Not much to report. I apparently really hosed Uzobono with the climactic scene of CORE #12, there are an Imperial shitload of props in the scene and they make the computer crash rather than render. I really should know better at this point, but having found myself hopeless in the face of Poser I don't really grok the issues, and therefore don't anticipate the problems I am creating when I write the script. Multi-hour render times only to bluescreen the computer.

I am assured that this will be worked through, but you all need to appreciate the problems I put Uzo through on your behalf. (And mine, obviously.) So get to appreciating.

It's holiday vacation season around here, and I'm going to be traveling until the New Year. This will quite possibly affect my posting - you recall the problems that Blogger gave me last year. I'm not sending Google my fucking cell phone number just to post on my blog when I have the fucking password. Gr!

So we'll see. I'll have my laptop and I'll have the Internet, so I'm hoping this isn't the last you'll hear from me in 2017, but if I go dark it's not because I don't love you.

Tabenings - Wuesday Edition

Hi! Wednesday is the new Tuesday, didn't you hear?

Actually it's just the season coming into play. My spawn is part of a school performance, so that's what I'm doing on Tuesday nights this month. Luckily, Wednesday is still mostly free!

Also, as you've seen, Uzobono and I have slowly been working our way through CORE #12, and we're close enough to finished at this point that the cover has been revealed:

In truth, although pods do feature in the issue, no one actually hatches out of them. The cover is more metaphorical than 'lifted from the pages'. But if you like squicky things, then I daresay you will like it anyway!

Tabenings - Getting Spooky Edition

Hello again!

Well, it was slow going this week. I do have CORE #12 up to halfway through scene four, and Uzo's done the renders through scene two. So progress is steady.

Nothing to report on 'Modding', unfortunately. However, I am strongly considering taking Friday off from work, and if I do, I solemnly promise to you that I shall put in several good hours on that front. I don't get my serotonin until people can read the story and I ain't releasing even a bit of it until it's finished, so it's got to get finished.

In other news, one of the reasons progress is currently slow is that I have been playing Divinity: Original Sin 2. Although it seems like it should be Divinity 2: Original Sin. Or, to be the most accurate, Divinity 2: Save and Reload Boogaloo.

It's an isometric fantasy RPG, one of the prolific spawn of Baldur's Gate. I... can't actually recommend it. Oh, sure, I'm still playing it, but it's teeth-grindingly frustrating and, as I observe, involves tremendous amounts of reloading. It's packed with fights where one fuckup, one click where a character moves when you meant for her to cast, one random die roll where one of the bad guys crits you, and you lose. And that's almost every fight. There is no build-up where you get to beat some minor baddies before hitting a mini-boss. Any random fight has a good chance of being lethal, and if you don't cheese the fights by using tricks to confuse the AI or doing things that don't fit the story, well, you're not going to get any further. There are plenty of mobs that can one-shot your characters, and they come in packs to boot.

Player level is critically important as well - if you are level 12 and you get into a fight with level 14s, you lose. Not that you have any idea where the level 12 area is, and if you miss a quest or two, well, they don't grow on trees so head back and find one because you need those XP to have any chance in the next fight.

So it's almost more frustrating than it is fun. But the reason I bring it up is that it has lots of really good fetish potential in it. In addition to succubi, corpse witches who lasciviously kiss you to deliver a nefarious spell, and demonic possession, the major plot revolves around the Magisters, a sadistic group of Inquisition types, rounding up people who have connection to Source, which is one way of casting spells. Also a type of shiny liquid, if you juice those people (no, really).

The problem is, using Source has started to summon other dimensional monsters who then murder pretty much anyone nearby. To forestall this, the Magisters, as a magical authority, are rounding up anyone who can use Source.

And then they suck the Source out of those people with magic wands. And, in so doing, the person is turned into an obedient zombie! Mmm. An obedient zombie with a big black sigil on her forehead and liquid black eyes. And then the Magisters dress these drones up and use them as shock troops, for although they are mindlessly obedient they haven't forgotten their combat skills.

And this is a major part of the plot, this life-energy-sucking dronification. I mean, that's how you get involved in the first place.

So it does have that going for it.
